For the last 16 years since 2000's, the social responsibility projects are very popular among both institutions and individuals. Producing permanent solutions to social problems has become a very important concept for many institutions. But we still face many problems with the sustainability of social responsibility projects. The volunteers say that they want to continue to the project and they don’t have a time or have other priorities by participating into projects once or twice and also then financially supporting them. According to 2012 data CAF World Donor Index has explained that the donation rate is %10 and the volunteering rate is 4% in Turkey. According to this, Turkey is ranked 137th in 146 countries in the order of volunteerism. Turkish public prefers to give remote support by making money donations instead of taking part in the active project, because many volunteer candidates do not have enough knowledge in the field of civil society and social responsibility projects.
After these results, the trainees and civil socialists rolled up their sleeves. They have found out that the consciousness of volunteerism hasn’t been given, for this reason as people age they haven’t adopted ‘’ being volunteer’’ as the consciousness of which they have to responsible for during life. Upon this many institutions have started to do various studies to engrain in the responsibility and consciousness of volunteerism to the children. We can say that conveying the social responsibility projects to the courses is the most successful one among the studies. Many private education institutions that want to invest in the future bring children together with social responsibility projects from the period of pre-school and introduces the volunteerism to the students by dramatizing and providing children with both having fun and learning with these projects.
The students have the theory and practice courses in the field of social responsibility as much as a math course from the period of pre-school to the university. In this way, while getting the opportunity to know the society where they live more closely, they also develop their own motor skills. The students who have put their own social responsibility projects into practice during the school courses get the opportunity to develop many skills such as organisation, communication, performing effective presentation, speaking in public, respect for awareness, self-confidence. The student gets also the specialty to become an active citizen who produces the solution for social events with the project realized and participated.
The social responsibility projects contribute also considerably to the educational life and academic performance at the same time while supporting individual's personal development. Many universities around the world evaluate the studies of the students performed for the society as well as an academic performance. Many high school students since 2014 received the acceptance from the best universities with the social responsibility projects that they performed. The social responsibility projects provide added value not only to the students but also to the society with educational institutions. The students who are in all these studies and organize these projects, as a role model to their peers enable also them to participate in the projects and so the active volunteering rate is increasing day by day. With the transfer of social responsibility projects to the school, the individuals with high-volunteer perception grow up.
There must be to participate into the social responsibility project in to-do list of the students before their school lives end, we shouldn't forget, "We are responsible for the world".
